What’s The Matter Project

What we had to do for the what’s the matter project is we each choose a type of pollution and write a blog or video about it. What I chose was plastic pollution. I chose to do plastic pollution because it is killing ocean life. Some animals are even going extinct because they are suffocating in plastic. The link at the top is the video that I made about plastic pollution.

My topic was plastic pollution. In the video I added things like what are the positive and negative implications and what you can do  to help. I also made a save the planet poster. Here is picture.

What I like the best about my canva video is all the ways you can help. I hope some of you look into some more ways you can help stop plastic pollution. If I could have done it differently I would try to make room for all of the negative implications instead of saying “ and more”. What I enjoyed the most about this project is I got to learn more about ways that I can help stop pollution. In conclusion this project was a great way to learn more about pollution.

Science: Pulley System

How does my pulley system work?

How my pulley system works is you turn the pulley stick and it lifts the elevator.

My hypothesis:

I think when you turn the pulley counter clockwise it will turn the lift the string and the elevator and when you turn it clockwise it will lower the string and the elevator.

My procedure: Step by step

Step 1: Gather materials.
Step 2: Make structure to hold pulley system.
Step 3: Make the elevator box.
Step 4: Poke hole in each wall.
Step 5: Put stick through hole.
Step 6: Tape stick making the stick not be able to come off of the structure.
Step 7: Poke holes across from each other on the elevator box.
Step 8: Wrap a string around your stick.(Leave room to tie the string to the holes of your elevator box)
Step 9: Tie the string to the holes of your elevator box.
Step 10: Decorate!

Materials:

  • A lot of card board
  • Hot glue
  • Paint
  • String
  • A stick
  • Tape

Chapter 1

Peter gets a turtle and his mom is very mean about it.

Chapter 2

Mr. and Mrs. juicio come to peters house. Mrs. juicio brings a gift that peter already has and when she finds out that he already has it she gets mad.

Chapter 3

Fudge decides not to eat after peter learned to stand on his head. Peter’s mom wanted peter to stand on his head because that got fudge to laugh so peters mom could food in fudges mouth and peter said no.

Chapter 4

Peter goes to the park with jimmy Fargo and Sheila, a mean girl in peters class, is at the park. Peter’s mom comes to the park with fudge. Peter’s mom asks Sheila to watch fudge and asks peter and jimmy to help. While they’re not looking fudge goes to the jungle gym and tries to fly. fudge falls and loses his top front teeth.

My Opinion
I can’t really tell because I only read chapters 1,2,3,and 4 but so far I think it’s booooooooooring.
